Not many people nowadays can say they have been with the same employer for 25 years but Ann Brown from gvt (goodband viner taylor) is one of the few that can.

Ann started work in September 1983 as an office junior on a Youth Training Scheme straight from school, when the average house price was £31,000, the top 3 films were Star Wars – The Return of the Jedi, Flashdance and Trading Places, and the UK Top 10 included Kajagoogoo, Men at Work, Duran Duran and Spandau Ballet.

She was officially employed in 1984 as the typist for the audit department. Whilst in this role Ann felt she had more to offer and moved into an Audit role and has never looked back.  We are not suggesting she has been here long, but when we recently moved into our new offices, Ann was classed as fixtures and fittings.
