Enfield

Enfield is the home of the world’s first ATM machine, installed in 1967.

It is mentioned in the Domesday book and there was a regular weekly market from 1303 until the early eighteenth century.

The poet John Keats attended school in Enfield.

Nowadays, the town centre has a large shopping centre and old buildings have been replaced by new apartments and commercial units.
